Getting to the city center by taxi (recomended)

The Vilnius Airport approved taxi stand can be found in front of the airport’s arrivals terminal. All taxis accept cash and credit cards. Here are the most popular routes and what they cost:

From Vilnius to Trakai

For those, who will come by car, its very convient to go from Vilnius to Trakai, since its just about 35 min.

For those, who will come to pre-events, not just on 15 th Friday, we will try go all together by train. Before the event, we will share the information for the best train time and ticket purchase, so don't be too quick to buy them early. The same goes fot the way back from the Trakai to Vilnius.

The special "Vilnius-Trakai" train runs regularly from Vilnius railway station to the Trakai railway and back. Trains run 10 times per day and the journey takes 35 minutes. A ticket costs €2.40- €4.40 /per person. It can be purchased online, on the train or at the railway station.

Trom the Trakai train station to the Trakai Castle walking by foot about 45 min.

Getting by bus

There is a direct bus from Vilnius city to the Trakai. The price of a single ticket is about €2,60. Bus goes 1-3 times per hour. It takes about 30-50 minutes to reach Trakai.
